HRO vote ahead
The Orange County Commission will vote on a proposed Human Rights Ordinance (HRO) on Nov. 23. The meeting starts at 9 a.m. in the Commission Chambers at the County Administrative Center. The HRO would be a comprehensive rule prohibiting discrimination, including several protections for LGBTs. Supporters who attend plan to wear red as a show of solidarity.
Heath & Wellness Fair returns
After a few years’ break, the Health and Wellness Fair returns to The Center on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m. The event offers expanded access to providers including women’s health, hospice, fitness centers, HIV/AIDS testing and weight control.
