Venice Theatre has a reputation for bringing cutting edge and diverse shows to its stage. Now, the popular downtown attraction has someone to bring even more diversity into its auditorium.
Kristofer Geddie is the new Director of Diversity at Venice Theatre and plans to expand the organization's audience by diversifying programming.
“I am reaching out to as many organizations and individuals as possible,” Geddie said in an e-mail.
Adding more multi-cultural productions and broadening the theater's educational and outreach programming is part of Geddie's strategy.
“These are the first steps and ideas we have,” he said. “But by no means are we limited to this. I would love to have a roundtable discussion here at some point soon.”
