Sunshine Stampede coming to South Florida
The Florida Gay Rodeo Association (FGRA) is saddling up for the country's largest gay rodeo. The 7th annual Sunshine Stampede is April 20 22 at Bergeron Rodeo Grounds in Davie, Florida. Gaither Pennington, FGRA president, said the event is a charitable benefit and they'll be selecting their charities over the next two weeks. He said they expect the Sunshine Stampede to attract about 3,000 spectators, and about 110 contestants typically compete. Event tickets are still available at FGRA.org and at the gates during the event.

Woman murdered in domestic partner incident
One woman is dead and another injured after a domestic dispute March 27 in Miami-Dade County. According to police, the two women were domestic partners in the middle of a breakup when one of them picked up a knife and the other grabbed a gun. Maria Linares, 48 was stabbed but survived. The other woman, whose name was not released, died from a gunshot wound.
