Gay-friendly groups are getting organized and preparing to counter a protest by notoriously anti-gay group Westboro Baptist Church.
Westboro plans to picket Dr. Philips High School from 6:50-7:20 a.m. on April 29. Their press release says the school is “fag-infested” and “pervert-run.”
At least two counter-protests have popped up on Facebook, with as many as 1,000 people reporting that they plan to attend.
The hate group previously staged a protest at University High School in Orlando in November of 2010, but only about 3 picketers showed up and they were far outnumbered by counter-protestors.
