“Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.” — Buddha

It’s Monday, so you know what that means, my little do-gooders: time for Monday Ripples where I share links to things that will hopefully inspire you to do some good during your week. Make some ripples, they’ll turn into waves, and soon we’ll all be awash in good!

Slick Shirts
Mother Falcon Clothing
I’ve blogged about this awesome t-shirt place we have in Thornton Park called Mother Falcon. Well, they win a repeat mention mother_falcon_shirt_560170178.jpgbecause they’ve just climbed a couple of notches on my groovy meter with a t-shirt that protests BP with inspired art. In addition to the shirt being mobile activism, Mother Falcon is donating $10 of every shirt sold to the Audubon of Florida to support their efforts in the clean-up of the oil tragedy in the Gulf of Mexico. The owners also pointed out the clever tie-in with the name of their business and the Audubon’s work with birds. My man bought me one of the shirts and I enjoyed compliments and thumbs up the rest of the day. We had the luxury of visiting the store because it’s close to us, but you can also order the shirt of the phone.

Go to the Dogs!
Beneful WagWorld
Here’s an awesome contest for you dog lovers out there, of which I am one. You take your dog to your favorite dog park and make a video explaining what your dream dog park would be like, then submit it to the site. If the Beneful people chose you (and your pooch) as a finalist, then people (and their pooches) can vote on your idea. If you win, Beneful will put $500,000 into making the park in your area. Morton and I are heading to the park this week to make our video, I’ll let you know how it goes!

He’s Dreamy
If I Can Dream Pepsi Ideas Poll
Have you been watching If I Can Dream on Hulu? A group of young people have been chosen to live in a house in LA and try to make their dreams of making it in show business a reality. You can watch them 24 hours a day on the If I Can Dream website too. The producers of the show set them up with opportunities that your average person wouldn’t get and, more often than not, the lazy kids blow it.

There is one exception though: Justin Gaston. Sigh. He’s really the reason I started watching the show and the reason I continue to watch. When I first heard of him, I had my Google search engine working overtime looking at pictures of him modeling underwear. I’m a little biased after my skivvies research, but I do think Justin is the one in the house making the most of it.

One of the lessons the star hopefuls are learning is that celebrities do charity work and use their status to make things happen. So the housemates are participating in the Pepsi Refresh Project which gives money to cool ideas.  You can click the link above and vote on three ideas they’ve come up with and who will get to lead the project. You can also go to Pepsi Refresh to vote on other people’s ideas or submit your own idea!
