Naked Rugby! (youre paying attention now, right?)

Okay, it’s a bit of a tease. I wanted to talk about some other stuff before I got to the nude, sweaty men.

Apropos of nothing, I found this graph on how actually knowing a gay person might affect one’s views on gay marriage pretty interesting.

It’s even more interesting when read alongside Eye Junkie’s newfound fence-sitting point of view on the issue, a place she only found herself able to straddle once she came to know a gay parent. Yeah, she only came to know Lesbian Dad through LD’s blog, but it still counts.

I’d like to highlight some of Watermark’s content – in print and online. I just want to make sure you guys aren’t missing anything fantastic. First up, I’d like to once again link my guide to using and getting the most out of the site. It’s the closest thing we have to a FAQ, and I hope it’s helping you enjoy WMO even more.

Next up, our intrepid film reviewer, Stephen Miller, caught a first look at Outrage. I know, we’ve been talking about this film a lot. And even I have issues with some of the way the “evidence” is presented. But it’s still a topic worth talking about, and I hope you’ll join in the conversation Stephen started. That review is an online exclusive, by the way – the film wasn’t accessible until after our print edition deadline.

Please tell me you did not pass over our post-game analysis of Gay Days. And while you’re at it, all the Gay Days updates (we were BUSY that weekend, and a week and a half later, stuff is still trickling in), in one convenient location.

Looking ahead to the next big LGBT event, don’t miss Brentin Mosher’s terrific historial look at St. Pete Pride. You might think you know everything about it… but you are WRONG.

Last but not least, I smile every time I watch this featured video, of a dance-off between two college baseball teams. I think it’ll make you happy, too.

Keep reading this blog! We at Watermark had a really exciting meeting this morning, where we talked about the upcoming “secrets” issue (more on that later) and how to celebrate our 15th anniversary next month. What does this mean for you? Prizes, parties and fun, that’s what.

Okay, okay. Naked rugby men. I play rugby, and when I first saw this photo, I thought, “But… how does the scrum work? The second row generally will grip the waistbands of the front row players. I know, there IS something that could potentially be gripped, but… OW.”

And then I kept reading and realized they’re playing a version of rugby called “sevens,” which means there is no second row.

Maybe next naked match…
