Sawmill reports record numbers
Maybe it was the record high temperatures this past winter”or maybe the anticipation for RuPaul's only stateside concert in 2012. But whatever the reason, Sawmill Campground in Dade City reported record breaking membership numbers in the first quarter o the year.

According to President George Cressman, nearly 2,000 paid members joined Sawmill between Jan. 1 and March 31. “Our community is definitely growing and at a rate that far exceeded our expectations for winter months” he said. Sawmill general manager Stan Gorsky said the boom in membership is an all-time first quarter record or the campground co-op, which celebrated its first year in early April.

Sawmill brought in super drag queen RuPaul the last weekend of March to celebrate its first year as a co-op. The diva's appearance sold out the campground, which was filled to capacity.
