Orlando: Guess who’s obsessed with Toddlers & Tiaras?

Wanzie's Crack
Wanzie Presents offers up the first-ever musical group of its kind to appear at the acclaimed Parliament House Footlight Theater. The brainchild of Danny Feedback, The Crack Rock Opera is not just a hit-and-run rock and roll set. This theatrical piece has been years in development and is considerable in scope; involving sets, props, lasers, fog machines and costumes. In addition to the live music, the cast”comprised of Feedback himself and notable local musicians Evan Shafran, Jim Ivy and Jeff Nowlin”also handles the entirety of the acting. Feedback is synonymous with vulgarity and shock performance; his blistering concerts reliable for their absurdity, nudity and material destruction. But the provocateur is now looking beyond the traditional rock show. This latest grand production is said to be far different from anything he's ever done. For more information, WanziePresents.com

Simply Sedaris
Openly gay humorist and author David Sedaris performed to a capacity crowd of Orlando's movers and shakers at Bob Carr Oct. 30. According to publisher Tom Dyer, amongst the many NPR types were a lot of gays. Local attorney Jack Lord and his partner were situated front row. Along with his unique brand of self-depreciating humor, Sedaris discussed his life with his partner, Hugh, in London and Paris. The night of off-color comedy was capped off with an audience Q & A, where Dyer asked if he was a fan of The Real Housewives of Bordeaux. Although, not a fan of the “Housewive”-hype, Sedaris did admit to being obsessed with Hoarders and Toddlers & Tiaras. “It was amazing to see so many people come out to see a gay man read excerpts from his book,” says Dyer. “It was definitely an event!”

To Infiniti and Beyond
On Nov. 9, Orlando resident and Father of the Orlando chapter of the House of Infiniti Christopher McIntyre aka Morph Infiniti competed for Mr. Gay USofA in Houston, Tex. McIntyre is the only contestant from Florida but the current title is held by Orlando's own David “Freklz” Hunter. McIntyre's unique brand of entertainment recently won him the spot as the first boy to appear at UCF’s Diva Invasion Nov. 4. “My performance is very much theatre meets nightclub meets male character impersonation,” McIntyre says. Since Watermark went to press Nov. 8, we're anxiously awaiting to hear how the contest went and we'll report results next issue.
