Watermark’s April 3 2012 election results: the gay roundup

Orlando’s April 3, 2012 general elections were a mixed bag for the gay candidates.

Michael Cantone (who identifies as bisexual) lost to incumbent Buddy Dyer in the race for Orlando mayor.

Patty Sheehan was relected to her city commission seat, but neither Chase Smith nor Randy Ross were able to edge out the competition in the race for District 1 city commissioner.

20,388 voters hit the polls, just 15.55% of Orlando’s registered voters.
