Seminole Stroll raises $66K
A record-breaking Seminole Stroll raised $66,000 for the Hope and Health Foundation of Central Florida, Inc. Last year's total was $27,000. Event manager Julie Noda said about 350 walkers and volunteers participated and chairpersons Rob Domenico and Jenny Brouillard led the event to its highest total yet. It was the Seminole Stroll's 6th year. Previously, the event was called the Sanford Stroll. 

Yard Sale benefits The Center
One man's trash became The Center's treasure at a recent yard sale that raised more than $1,400. Randy Stephens, executive director of The Center, said dozens of people donated thousands of items which filled The Center's parking lot. He said board member Ryan Salyer was the chief organizer of the event. 

Kushner pulls out of Rollins event
Pulitzer-winning playwright Tony Kushner has canceled an appearance at Rollins College via The Winter Park Institute. The man behind Angels in America was scheduled to speak April 12 and 13. Kushner's spokesperson sent his apologies and cited personal matters as the reasons behind his cancellation.
