The Parliament House is blowing out 37 candles on its birthday cake.
The resort and entertainment complex is celebrating its 37th year of operation during the last week of July. It kicks off with the annual Footlight Players Reunion Show at Footlight Theater 9 p.m. on July 23, with Darcel Stevens emceeing a cast of special guest stars who have been regular performers with the Footlight Players in the past. Admission is $10.
Turn-a-Bout, when Parliament House's employees take the stage in drag, is 9 p.m. July 25 and costs a $5 minimum donation, with all admission proceeds and tips earned by performers benefitting the Joy MCC food pantry.
The anniversary celebration concludes on July 28 with a Return to Oz party featuring Oz-themed décor, entertainment and a costume contest with a $300 cash prize. There is a $10 admission at the door.
