It took equal parts patience, adaptation, and determination, but on July 27, I'm pleased as punch to announce, we had our first gathering of The Do-Gooder's Coffee Klatch at Downtown Credo. In attendance was Jim Cundiff representing the American Lung Association, Amanda Chadwick representing the Children's Home Society of Florida, and Randy Stephens from the Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Community Center of Central Florida, as well as two of our Philanthropods all-round-do-gooder Deb Simpson and Watermark's online editor

How did it go? Well, I could write for pages about the mutual do-goodergasms we all had that day, but let me share a lovely e-mail from Amanda instead: “Thank you so much for inviting me to attend the coffee klatch today! I always feel so energized when I am around individuals that want to make a difference and have the power to do so!”
